About Company Marketcap

Free financial calculators that give clear answers to everyday money questions, without sign-ups or data collection.

Company Marketcap is a free collection of financial calculators for people in the United States who want quick, clear answers before making a money decision. You can use it to see what a mortgage will really cost, how long a credit card will take to pay off, whether your retirement savings are on track, or what a pay rise means for your take-home pay.

What you'll find here

The calculators are grouped by what you're trying to do:

  • Mortgage and real estate: payments, affordability, refinancing and rental property.
  • Loans and debt: personal, auto and student loans, and plans to clear credit card debt.
  • Retirement: savings targets, 401(k) and IRA choices, Social Security and annuities.
  • Investing: growth projections, returns, stocks, bonds and interest.
  • Tax and income: tax estimates, take-home pay, health savings and insurance.
  • Savings and budgeting: savings goals, budgets, net worth and everyday money maths.
  • Business: break-even, margins, cash flow and valuation.

We're adding calculators steadily. Ones that aren't ready yet are marked as coming soon on the financial calculators page.

How our calculators are built

  • Standard formulas, checked. Each calculator uses the standard formula for its topic, and we test it against worked examples with known answers before it goes live.
  • Explained in plain English. Every calculator page explains what each input means, shows the formula and points out the limits of the estimate.
  • Built for US rules. Where rules matter, such as tax, payroll and retirement accounts, the calculators follow US rules.

Your numbers stay on your device

Every calculation runs in your web browser. There are no accounts or sign-up forms, and nothing you type into a calculator is sent to us or stored. See our privacy policy for the full details, including how advertising works on the site.

How the site is funded

The calculators are free to use. The site is supported by advertising, which is clearly labelled and kept separate from the calculators and their results. Advertisers have no say in what the calculators show.

Estimates, not advice

Our calculators give estimates based on the numbers you enter and the assumptions described on each page. They aren't financial, tax or legal advice. For important decisions, check the figures with your lender, plan provider or a qualified professional. Our terms of use explain this in more detail.
